As you drive into the pretty North Yorkshire village of Croft-on-Tees, you pass by a sign declaring it as ‘the childhood home of Lewis Carroll’. The recent round of the British Touring Car Championship at the local racetrack brought surreal moments – Tom Ingram grinning like the Cheshire Cat after a strong win, while Ash Sutton faced setbacks like the White Rabbit, ultimately triumphing in a crazy finale. Ingram’s stellar performance in qualifying secured him pole position in the Hyundai i30 N Fastback, showcasing unmatched pace in the series. Despite challenges at previous races, Excelr8 Motorsport’s team delivered strong results at Croft, with both Ingram and team-mate Tom Chilton showcasing impressive skills. Dan Cammish led the qualifying for Alliance Ford Focus STs, while Sutton faced difficulties due to track limits violations. The competition heated up as the championship leader fought to maintain his position among fierce rivals like Ingram.
